‘Crack A Pack A Day’ Comes To An End

A Late Night Players’ experiment has come to an end.

This past April, we launched a video series on Youtube called Crack A Pack A Day. The idea of the series was to open a booster pack of our favorite trading card games every single day until we pulled some sort of super chase card (signatures, gold stamped, serialized, etc). It was an experimental idea to see how long we could go posting daily content while trying to grow our community. It was a fun series, but it had some serious ups and downs.

We posted the 112th and final episode. Over those 16 weeks of booster packs, we opened a little bit of everything. The Big 3 (Magic, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh), Bandai hotness (One Piece and Union Arena), random new games (Shard Bugs anyone?)…they were all on the table. There was quite a bit of positivity around the series, but our last selection brought out some less that constructive criticism and personal attacks. Should we probably have thicker skin trying to be content creators on the internet these days? Absolutely. But we have always strived for building a community of inclusion, understanding, and kindness above all else.

So as we go into the GenCon 2026 prep, we are going to shelf the series. It isn’t gone for good, mind you. We’ll return to it eventually once we’ve had time to regroup and make the series better than it was before.

Until next time, remember, keep your dice warm and happy gaming!
