The Massive Cogforts Stomp Through The Battlefields Of ‘Age Of Sigmar’
One of the massive surprises from Games Workshop’s roadmap at Adepticon 2026 was the announcement of the Cogforts for the Cities of Sigmar.
The impressive model towers (pun intended) are forged by the powerful Ironweld Arsenal, the Cogforts are the pride of the army. Originally envisioned as a defensive measure for the rear line, the pilots soon began to run them into the front lines due to their explosive offensive potential.
The Cogfort can be outfitted in a couple different options to give players an array of options to tailor the build to their army. The Cannonade Cogfort brings a ‘Godbreaker’ canon to knock down the strongest defenses, as well a small armory of gunpowder weapons. Meanwhile the Conqueror Cogfort forgoes the firepower for a Realmscorcher flame cannon and the ability to transport an infantry unit onto the battlefield.
Interesting, even though they are originally built for the Cities of Sigmar, rules updates at release will allow for nearly each faction in Age of Sigmar to field one through a Regiment of Renown rule. This will give players of just about every army the opportunity to do some amazing looking conversions for their factions of choice. As a Soulblight Gravelord player, I can’t wait to modify mine to look like a haunted castle tower that would make an vampire lord happy to call it home.
