‘Tekken 8’ Joins ‘UniVersus’

UVS Games have announced the next expansion for the popular UniVersus trading game game with Tekken 8.

Releasing on August 14, the Tekken 8 booster set continues the fighting game legacy that UniVersus (formally UFS) was built upon. With 14 fighters from the game’s impressive roster, the set features 185 base card with 25 alternate art Ultra Rare and Secret Rare cards. As with previous sets the expansion will include the chase serialized Chrome Rares, this time with two distinct treatments. The set will also introduce the all-new Heat mechanic and Arena cards, a new card type for the game.

Players attending the EVO convention in Las Vegas this June will have the first opportunity to demo these brand new cards. Additionally, there will be a set of EVO-stampled promo cards made exclusively for this year’s event.

Local game stores will host prerelease event on August 7 for fans who want to get their hands on the cards early.
